Rebel Bunny - Samidori From Kyoto
Rebel Bunny is delighted to share another remarkable matcha. This time, an expression of the celebrated Samidori cultivar.
The dry aroma is reminiscent of scallop, carrying a distinctly oceanic, umami-forward character. Once whisked, delicate freshness emerges alongside gentle floral notes recalling lily of the valley. On the palate, refined scallop-like umami remains present throughout, while the floral character lends elegance to each sip. Its mouthfeel is beautifully balance. Nether overly rich nor delicately light, but composed with remarkable harmony.
Samidori is one of the most celebrated cultivars from Uji, Kyoto, and has long regarded as one of the finest cultivars for producing tencha.
